Limit yourself to specific, priority commitments. Determine the types of activities you feel most inspired by and stick with those. Spreading yourself too thin among many obligations increases stress and decreases your ability to attend well to the things you’ve committed to.
Reduce multi tasking. Concentrate on one thing at a time and do it well. You will feel a greater sense of accomplishment when the task is complete. And, you can walk away from the job knowing you gave it your all.
Take a break. Sounds counter productive right? Sometimes its best to separate yourself for a few moments. Take a breather and clear your head and then return to the project refreshed and recharged.
Keep a calendar and stick to it. If you’ve obligated yourself to several activities within a given day, say no to last minute requests or invites.
Get rest. Don’t sacrifice your sleep! This is of high priority if you desire to continue meeting the goals you’ve set for yourself. This may require you to leave work early so you can get home to spend time with your kids or finish a home project in a timely manor and STILL get your 8 hours!
I cant stress enough the importance of time management when it comes to quality of life and how we can truly function best. Please let me know if you have more questions…..
